Giving Hypocrisy A Bad Name

New York City

It has been a while.  Two years since a couple of brief, frustrated sporadic posts here; five years since regular posting on either of my two main subjects.  Selling my SF Giants tickets, and everything else going on in the world viewed from America.

My purpose is also two-fold.  Sell my tickets; organize my thoughts and thinking about the world beyond my door, with my friends and any strangers who stumble upon these words to read and discuss if you desire.

My lapse has primarily been due to illness.  I have endured a long strange debilitating neurologic illness, since 2014.  I am almost all better, I'll detail my health struggles another time, maybe.  But as I gradually resume normal life and activities, I'm gonna return to this blog as an expression of how I see and think about the national and world situation, war/economics/politics/society et al.  A lot of stuff going down, and I got a lot of problems with it.  And, now you're gonna hear about it!

This is just a placeholder, maybe reference point for resumption of writing here.  Just organizing my big picture view of things is a sizable task.  I'll elaborate shortly, but I think the events of the last few weeks reveal a significant turning point in history, huge, like 9/11 huge, rivaling the handful of such instances in my now long-ass lifetime.

And I'm not referring to the National League DH.  Although, that fucking sucks too.

Yeah, this post wasn't really about hypocrisy, but I just heard Ray McGovern use that line (14min 50sec into the linked podcast), referring to the congress members who talk of peace while they vote for war and take MIC money as "giving hypocrisy a bad name" and I love that line and want to remember it for use in a more appropriate place.
