Yeah, this ain't their year, but at least this week they started playing some good ball, and actually won a few games.

As usual, I put the tickets up one month at a time, since my travel plans are usually last minute, and I like to use the seats when I am visiting Cali. so around the last week of each month I will post available dates for the following month.

Tickets can be transferred electronically, instantly and securely, via the giants' web site. you can pay me with Paypal, (even though i hate those fuckers i don't have an alternative set up) or if we have done business before, just send me a check.

The Giants use differential pricing, so I will list the literal face value for each date. Face value is typically $81 for weekend and day games,  but occasionally $100 or $63.  Weekday night games are usually $63 or $39. I'll cite the face value, but the price is always negotiable, up as well as down.

Boy, rough month of April.  Good thing the season is long, and this season is far from lost or over.  Just let the pitching get right, and the injuries to heal up.

This winning World Series thing is kinda nice.  Sure, it is the journey of a six month season that is the great pleasure beginning each spring, but these shorter October journeys are pretty good too.

Same story as prior years.  I will put the tickets up one month at a time, since my travel plans are usually last minute, and I like to use the seats when I am visiting Cali. so around the last week of each month I will post available dates for the following month.

Tickets can be transferred electronically, instantly and securely, via the giants' web site. you can pay me with Paypal, (even though i hate those fuckers i don't have an alternative set up) or if we have done business before, just send me a check.

The Giants really jacked up the prices this season.  I don't blame them, the increases have been quite modest over the years.  You win, you get to charge more.  They use differential pricing, so I will list the literal face value for each date. Face value is typically $70 or $91 for weekend and day games,  other games $56 or $35.  I'll cite the face value, but the price is always negotiable, up as well as down.

six weeks into the season, and finally i make my first post of the season regarding my extra tickets.  punctual as usual.

same story as prior years.  i will put the tickets up one month at a time, since my travel plans are usually last minute, and i like to use the seats when i am visiting cali. so around the last week of each month i will post available dates for the following month.

Walk of Shame

An Open Email to Linda P. B. Katehi, PhD (or EngD?  sorry, i'm not sure)
Chancellor, University of California, Davis

Dear Dr. Katehi:

Your public statement issued Sunday morning November 20, 2011 included the following sentences:

"I am deeply saddened that this happened on our campus, and as chancellor, I take full responsibility for the incident. However, I pledge to take the actions needed to ensure that this does not happen again."

Here are three simple, essential actions you can take immediately, that are the best possible insurance that this indeed does not happen again.

1) Fire the Chief of UC Davis Police Annette Spicuzza.  Immediately.  For cause.
 
2) Telephone the Yolo County District Attorney, Jeff Reisig.  Ask that he immediately investigate the battery attack with chemicals upon a dozen of your students.  Strike that 'ask'.  Insist.  Demand.  Promise full cooperation from your office, from the UC Davis police department, and promise that his investigation will not be interfered with nor obstructed.

3) Resign.  So that you will never again be able to cause this to happen.

If this seems too much, that's ok.  Just skip to #3. 

That is the single action that is needed from you to best insure this will never happen again.  The truth of this is obvious to everyone but you.

You will serve the university better by submitting your resignation than by forcing Governor Brown and the citizens of California to fire you.  Either way, you are finished as Chancellor.  You are going to leave, very soon.  Unlike your actions on Friday, you can today do the right thing.

I am gratified you have accepted full responsibility for the incident.  I am further gratified by your pledge to take action.  Unfortunately, that responsibility now requires that you to resign your position.
