Sometimes I Feel Like Pourin' It All Out

I used to post on this blog, because organizing and writing out my thoughts helped me to make sense of the world. I became ill, which kept me from posting regularly for a few years. As this illness abated somewhat, I resumed writing for a while, but the craziness and stupidity of the Thump vs Hillary Diane Rodham campaign madness which bled into the actual election of Thump and the early months of his regime stopped me again.
But I need to resume pouring it all out. For me. For the sake of my sanity, or more accurately my tenuous hold upon same.
I would've returned to writing a few months ago. The task of writing an initial post that succinctly reviewed the major issues plaguing us felt enormous, and caused me to put it off. The escalation of war and murder in Iraq and Syria, directed against Iran, got me over the hump.
So, a little later today I'll spit out some of my thoughts regarding war and Iran. All the other topics will have to wait. The constant worsening of our health care system, which succeeds in tremendous profits by insurance and pharma, while literally killing people from addiction, lack of access to care, and unaffordability of basic medicines like insulin; the deliberate transfer of wealth away from the working and middle classes into the hands of a tiny number of oligarchs and corporations; the complete surrender of our system of government to the monied powers of huge corporations; the reversion of all major media as mere propaganda conduits to control public thought and consent; the complete corruption and failure of primary, secondary and higher educational systems, their failure to educate and their success at creating new generations of debt slaves, ideological subjects of the system and more profits for the few; the surveillance of all of us for purposes of profit and governmental control, and the destruction of any concept of privacy; the various spheres of climate and environmental catastrophes manifesting not against the planet, but against all the living inhabitants dependent on water, air and non-poisonous nutrition; the brutal oppression of a tiny number of whistle blowers and truth tellers, such as Assange, Manning, Snowden (who has managed to escape the evil empire) and the growing war on larger numbers of those who dare expose the lies of the powerful; the relentless increase in violence, including school and public mass shootings, cops killing and assaulting unarmed citizens, individual crime and nation on nation warfare; sorry if I left anything out.
But I'll get to all that, and more. Including baseball.

Very few people have ever read this blog. That's fine, building an audience is not my aim or desire. Anyone who cares to read and comment is welcome. At least until you piss me off. My aim and desire to organize and express my meager attempts to make sense of the state of things. Because, things are bad, and getting worse.
